| | Starting in the 2008 season, Shane Gwaltney (of Music City Mystique) will
serve as the Visual Designer and Battery Arranger for Elements Indoor!
Shane's contribution in visual design and percussion arranging has been
respected throughout the industry. His career began as a member of Music
City Mystique from 1995 to 1999. Since his age out year, Shane has been an
important part of Music City Mystique's personality on the floor. Shane's
arrangements and visual designs have flooded the WGI arena over the past 10
years. Shane has been on staff and arranged for all levels of percussion
including Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps, Jacksonville State University
PASIC drum line, Middle Tennessee State University drum line, Spirit of JSU
Drum and Bugle Corps, Scenic City Drum and Bugle Corps, Music City Mystique,
Choctawhatchee High School, and Kennesaw Mountain High School. Shane was a
member of Street Beats that has performed at the Percussive Arts Society
International Convention and the Modern Drummer Music Festival. Shane
endorses and is an Artist and Clinician for Dynasty USA instruments,
Innovative Percussion, Evans Drumheads, and Sabian Cymbals. Shane currently
resides in Fort Walton Beach, Florida where he is in charge of the
percussion program at Choctawhatchee High School.
Elements is very excited with this new relationship as it will allow us to
explore new avenues for the entire Elements organization for years to come.

| | Several members of Elements indoor were able to chase down a would-be car stereo thief at their latest rehearsal Saturday in Zanesville, resulting in the arrest by local police. Shortly after 4pm, a young man entered the rehearsal gym with a car stereo in hand. A man followed him into the gym and asked us to stop him, that he stole his car stereo. Several members of Elements chased the young man into an apartment building over 2 blocks away. Police were called by other members and arrived within minutes of the man being trapped in the building. Local police captured the young man, returned the stolen stereo, and thanked Elements' members for doing their civil duty. Excellence...on and off the floor!!! |

| | We have our first music camp this weekend at St. Thomas in Zanesville, OH. We are starting at 7p-12a on Friday evening. Due to a scheduling error, we are not able to start rehearsal on Saturday until 2p-8p. If you need a place to sleep Friday night, assume we can find you one (bring your gear) and we will do our best to get you situated. There are also several hotels in the immediate vicinity if you so choose. |

| | Elements is currently preparing for an even bigger and better 2007 season. The staff is excited and I hope you are too.
The initial auditions will be held on 10/15/06, 10/22/06, 11/11/06 and
11/18/06. The extra dates this year will give everyone an opportunity to recover from their fall band season and still have an opportunity to be a part of a great indoor experience. All interested applicants should plan on attending all auditions sessions as we begin work on our 2007 program. If you are unable to attend an audition session due a school or family
commitment, please let one of the staff members know. Exact times and locations will be announced as they are confirmed.

| | Elements Indoor Performance Ensemble will be hosting a special public performance on Saturday April 9th at St. Thomas Activity Center in Zanesville. Performance time will begin at 7pm.This performance is in preparation for their inaugural participation in the Winter Guard International World Finals, which will be held in Dayton on April 14th, 15th, and 16th. They will be competing against 10 other groups in their classification level, all in hopes of gaining the World Champion status.
This free performance will give the attendees a look inside a competing indoor percussion ensemble, as staff will give descriptions of the
show and what it takes to execute this high-energy performance.
Currently, Elements Indoor Performance Ensemble is the 2004 and 2005 Independent A State Champion, as well as the 2005 WGI Mideast Regional Champion. |

| | Elements' New Equipment Has Arrived!!
Elements Indoor has purchased it's new equipment for the 2005 indoor season. Our new equipment includes 7 snares, 5 tenors, 5 basses, 2 4.3 octave marimbas, xylophone, concert bass drum, concert toms, and carriers. |
