Todd Harney - Executive Director
Todd Harney is the Executive Director and co-founder of Elements. Todd was a member of the 1998 Capital Regiment indoor line (snare), which earned the bronze medal in the Independent World class at the World Championships. Other than with Elements, is an active marching percussion educator in the state of Ohio with numerous high schools such as: Westland, Riverview, and Meadowbrook, to name a few. Todd is a graduate of the Ohio State University with a BS in Computer Science and Engineering. He is currently employed as a software writer with Longaberger. Todd is endorsed by Evans Drumheads and HQ products. Todd resides in Frazeysburg, Ohio with his wife, Heather and their 3 children, Braden, Jobin, and Landon (soon to be 4!!).

Tim Pence - Percussion Caption Head
Tim currently is the Percussion Caption Head and co-founder for Elements Indoor Performance Ensemble, who were a 2006 WGI PIO Finalist as well as the 2005 WGI Independent A World Champions. Tim's summer and fall responsibilities include working as the Percussion Program Coordinator with Ridgewood High School in West Lafayette, Ohio. Under Tim's direction, his groups have never received anything less than a Superior “1” rating at an OMEA sanctioned event. Tim also works as the Clinics Coordinator at Ridgewood where he organizes yearly clinics with some of the top names in marching percussion and abroad. Tim is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and in 2005, he served as a member of the PASIC Marching Percussion Committee. Tim is endorsed by Evans Drumheads/HQ Products, Innovative Percussion. He resides in West Lafayette, Ohio with his wife, Mandi and daughter, Graisyn.

Greg Miller - Associate Percussion Caption Head
Greg graduated in December of 1999 with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Morehead
State University. While attending MSU Greg was a performing member of the Marching Band, Indoor
Percussion Ensemble, and Concert Percussion Ensemble. His drum corps experience includes playing
bass drum for the 1996 DCI Quarterfinalist and Division III Silver Medallist Golden Lancers Drum
and Bugle Corps from Pittsburgh, PA and the 1998 DCI World Finalist Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps
from Toledo, OH. Greg has also instructed and taught many high school percussion sections
throughout Ohio and Kentucky including Campbell County High School in Alexandria, KY and
Newark High School in Newark OH. He is currently serving as arranger and director of percussion
for the Westerville North High School Band in Westerville, OH. Greg currently resides in
Westerville, OH.

Vincent Lucente - Visual Tech/Front Ensemble Tech
Vince Lucente currently attends Youngstown State University's Dana School of music in Youngstown, OH
where he is a candidate for a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. His teachers include Janet Pemberton,
Chris Kimble, John Peplowski, Rob Ferguson, Ron Coulter, Dr. Glenn Schaft, Tom Freer, and Tim Pence.
Vince has performed with the Youngstown State University Percussion Ensemble, Marching Pride, Symphonic
Band, Concert Band, and Elements Indoor Percussion Ensemble. He is currently the Assistant Band Director,
Percussion Ensemble Director, and Percussion Coordinator at Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio
and the Front Ensemble Tech at Ridgewood High School in West Lafayette, Ohio. Vince also teaches
privately to students in the Austintown, Berlin Center, Girard, Hubbard, Liberty, Struthers, Warren,
and Youngstown Area.

Dan Danch - Tenor Tech
Dan Danch currently attends Youngstown State University's Dana School of music in Youngstown, OH
where he is a candidate for a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance. His teachers include Justin Watt,
Janet Pemberton, Nathan Douds, Rob Ferguson, Dr. Glenn Schaft, Tom Freer, and Vernon Johnson. He has an
array of teaching experience from private lessons, outdoor drum lines and concert percussion sections
and ensembles as well as concert and marching bands. Dan has performed with such groups as the YSU
Marching Pride, YSU Jazz 3, Matrix Indoor Percussion Ensemble and the YSU Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
His awards Include Honors band festivals and two world titles in marching snare and tenors. Last year
Dan was a finalist in New York for a position in Blue Man Group as a Blue Man. Currently Dan is an
arranger and also is the Assistant Band Director at St. Ignatius high school in Cleveland, Ohio.

Elements Indoor Performance Ensemble is operated under Elements Youth
Organization, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The corporation is
operated exclusively for educational purposes and strives to provide its members
positive experiences by emphasizing education, leadership skills, and creativity
through pageantry and the performing arts.
our circuits
Elements is an indoor performance ensemble that is competitive at both the state
and national levels. Elements will compete in both MEPA (state circuit) and WGI
(national level).
